Solar panels to be installed at detention center (The Daily Reflector)

Solar panels will soon be installed to heat water at the Pitt County Detention Center. The Pitt County Board of Commissioners approved an agreement with Halocene, a Raleigh-based renewable energy company, to install solar collectors to supplement the center’s existing hot water system.
